We have gained the official title of a Certified B Corporation with 82 points achieved in the process of our impact assessment in five areas: workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment.

A great experience for both users and founders

WEF is a non-profit organization, on a mission to create dialogue and cooperation between business, government and civil society, in order to improve the state of the world. As part of the WEF community of global leaders, we take part in high-level meetings, research, initiatives, and digital networks, helping solve the world's greatest challenges. Currently, Netguru is part of the “Shaping the Future of Digital Economy and New Value Creation” Forum Platform.

Charity inititiative

Founders Pledge aims to disrupt the current state of charitable giving. Its mission is to empower entrepreneurs to do immense good by funding the most impactful solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. We supported Founders Pledge digital solutions with low-bono services, and are proud of our co-founder, Wikor Shmidt, being a member of this organization.

Tech To The Rescue

Digital solutions

Tech To The Rescue is a voluntary movement of tech companies, whose aim is to help non-governmental organizations around the world implement digital solutions to scale up their activities. Netguru is one of TTR’s 10 founding partners, supporting its structural and strategic development both financially and content-wise. Netguru helped the organization make policies of financial institutions transparent to decrease inhumane practices against animals. Organizations practicing wildlife trade, mutilations, and animal testing usually get financial support from banks. Netguru made it possible for Tech To The Rescue to create a digital solution where people can check, compare, and send direct messages to the banks to improve their policies against animal welfare.

Having in mind that the purpose of this project is to reduce suffering of farming animals, I felt not only a sense of mission and meaningfulness of my work but also a great responsibility to bring something good to humanity. As a designer I feel we need more meaningful projects that will meet society's and humanity's expectations, ensuring that what we provide is sustainable. And to make it happen we need support of committed, sustainable, mission- driven organizations and companies, like Sinergia Animal, Tech To The Rescue and Gerere, with which I had a great pleasure to cooperate with.

Social entrepreneurship

Ashoka is the world's leading organization in social entrepreneurship and change-making, connecting over 3,500 social entrepreneurs, change leaders and innovators. We’ve been cooperating with Ashoka since the beginning of our sustainability efforts at Netguru. Our cooperation is based on mutual advice and joint initiatives as Tech To The Rescue and in-kind donations.

We believe that the most challenging global problems cannot be solved by individuals, governments, or NGOs. It’s important that more and more for-profit organizations commit to make a positive impact on our planet.

Helping Pure Earth fight pollution

An app for underrepresented communities to report pollution

Pure Earth is an NGO that, for the last 20 years, has been solving pollution problems in low- and middle-income countries. Our role was to help them create Report Pollution – an app designed to document and report polluted sites that users have direct contact with. Report Pollution aims to become a platform for underrepresented communities and help them inspire others to take action and raise awareness.

Digital upgrade to fight climate change and economic inequality

How a non-profit improved its digital database to make a larger impact

Rising Sun’s mission is “to empower individuals to achieve environmental and economic sustainability for themselves and their communities.” We collaborated with the NGO on a partial pro bono basis to implement a system upgrade. We are now helping the organization to better serve disadvantaged communities while paving a path to a more sustainable future - one light bulb at a time.

In December 2019, the Coalition launched REDD.plus, the first platform to provide a central registry and exchange for RRU credits. This is a milestone achievement in scaling up the fight to reduce carbon emissions and we’re proud that our team has been a part of this initiative.
