I am such a slack blogger. I think I need a cattle prod or something similar to get me going. The honest truth is that it’s been so humid and hot that I cannot be bothered sitting here trying to write something — hopefully — interesting to read. I’d rather shut myself in the freezer and be the worlds first human popsicle.
Anyway, today I went birthday shopping at Kmart for my nephew, Romeo, who turns four tomorrow. I got him a really cool Lego castle set with a dragon and knight! To be honest, I would totally keep it for myself, but that wouldn’t be very nice, would it? No.
I always forget how decent Kmart can be for certain things. It’s got a much wider range of cosmetics and women’s underwear, plus some decent shoes, a good toy section… Actually the only thing it doesn’t beat The Warehouse on is music, movies and books. Really must go there more often. Or not, because then I’ll be tempted to spend more money than I should on frivolous things! Save, Sam, save!
After Kmart I had an errand to run and then my mum and I went to visit my brother and his family. Baby Tyler is growing so much and “filling out” (read: gaining chub). He’s so placid and sweet and I could hold him for hours. Babies are the best time-wasters, seriously. Someone else (not me) should have one soon so there are more babies for me to cuddle and coo at.
I’m currently in the middle of preparing a care package for a dear friend in Canada. Much fun is being had and I got to do something I haven’t done in years, but I can’t share until she actually receives it. Wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise.
Right, dinner shall be ready soon and I have another crochet project I need to work on. See you!
