I didn't realise that UoA had such a ridiculous system. At the University of Waikato, once you're 20, you can enrol as a full-time student and your NCEA results only matter if you're looking to study law, maths or any of the natural sciences. Good luck with the Sociology paper! Sociology was originally my supporting subject, but I dropped it like a hot rock the moment I signed up for my second year papers. I didn't enjoy it at all.
