Fuzzy Update

I’m rather displeased with one of my cats at the moment. Lola keeps catching baby rabbits! She has not killed one yet and we’ve managed to get them off her before she does any major damage, but it’s really only a matter of time before she does kill one. That will be seriously unpleasant, obviously. I have enough difficulty with her playing with, catching, maiming and eating geckos, let-alone a poor baby rabbit!

    Ergh. Poor rabbits!
Poppy (my cat) has brought two little birds inside in the last couple of weeks. Luckily mum and I managed to rescue both of them and they flew away outside, but still, that’s definitely the downside of having a cat!

Experts say cats bring them to us as “presents”, as a sign of love and affection. While I find that very sweet and it’s nice to know they do love me, even though they snub me, I could really do without the dead critters!

My old cat used to do the same thing. Birds, mice, even snakes and she always seemed so put out when i wasn’t over joyed about having it placed on my lap, carpet, bed.. awe.. how I miss her tho. (she died a few years ago)

I think i ended up putting a bell on her collar and oh boy did she hate that, but it kept her from sneaking up on anyone.
